Summertime provides a much-needed break for students as they gear up for the upcoming school year in the fall. While summer can give kids ample free time, they can quickly become bored without a structured routine. By providing children with an opportunity to attend a summer camp program, any summer vacation can become the best summer ever!

At Camp Fire, our mission is to offer an educational and fun filled summer camp for kids up to 12 years old. Children will participate in a variety of activities, outdoor games, hikes, swimming, sports and more. We have quiet time with reading, as well, helping decrease reading loss over the summer.

Camp is a great way to get your child engaged in learning, sports, and healthy choices. Many parents from the Century and Pensacola, FL communities have chosen Camp Fire for their children. If you are at all hesitant about sending your children to a summer camp, here are some of the many ways they can benefit from the experience:

Furthermore, Camp Fire has a proven reputation for keeping campers safe. Your children will come away from our summer camp programs more well-rounded, knowledgeable, caring, and with a giant smile on their faces!

Join us this summer as Camp Fire Kids explore Florida nature and wildlife! Camp Fire has been connecting kids to the outdoors since 1910. Through Camp Fire's "Wise Old Willie" and "Wise Kids" programs, children discover outdoor basics and learn about ecology and the 3 R’s. Additionally, our summer campers will learn more about nature through Project WILD hands-on activities from the Florida Game & Wildlife Conservation Commission. This helps youth develop planning and decision-making skills as well as learn to work and play together.

Also, all summer campers complete a community service project to keep the earth healthy and give service to others.

Camp Fire will get kids moving and make them healthier with the Wise Kids® program. Through hands-on activities, kids will learn about energy balance, enjoy healthy snacks and explore more of the outdoors. Also we have an archery program to get the children even more active.

Camp is open for children 5-12 years of age as of June 1, 2023. All children must wear closed-toed shoes during camp. All campers will receive a WILD & WISE Summer Camp t-shirt.

Please Note: Some adjustments to our 2023 Summer Day Camp activities, group size and camp capacity will be made in accordance with CDC and DCF Guidelines as well as recommendations from the American Camp Association. The health and safety of our campers, staff and families is our first priority.

Open to the Public/ MAXIMUM of 20 Spaces

When: May 30, 2023 – TBD (likely July 28th or August 4th)

Time: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. M- F

Ages: 5 - 12 years

Activities: arts & crafts, outdoor adventure, hikes, friendship building, special guests, movies, skits, conflict resolution & decision making, environmental learning, games, music, water fun, field trips, literacy and self-reliance projects.

Fees: $125/week; $25 REGISTRATION Fee.

Additional Information: 2 snacks provided daily. Bring a change of clothes; all campers will receive a WILD & WISE Summer Camp t-shirt.
