CHILD DEVELOPMENT & VPK
Camp Fire's concentration in child care & VPK is a natural one because of our interest in serving children and their families. Increasingly, both parents work outside the home and more single-parent families exist than ever before. This changing family need signaled an opportunity for Camp Fire to provide a safe, supportive environment to reinforce the parent's role.
Our school-age care is not an extension of school, but a chance for children to plan and carry out projects, to be with friends, and enjoy the company of trained, qualified, caring adults. Children help plan and take part in activities. There's always something fun and interesting happening at Camp Fire school-age care programs.
Through 90Works and Florida KidCare, the state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working.
